Mark Friedenberg is a Pickleball National Champion. He has won many awards throughout his pickleball career. Not only medals and some prize money but for being the most inspirational player in WA. He has written a book, “The Official Pickleball Handbook” that will soon be in its 3rd Edition. He is an excellent instructor and conducts clinics throughout the United States. He also provides individual lesson and player evaluations.

In February, 2005 Mark established the new USAPA and its Board of Directors. Under Mark and the USAPA Board of Directors, the USAPA helps keep structure to the pickleball world via it's website, Ambassador programs and members worldwide.

Although it might be because of his age or physical stature, some tournament partners and opponents call him "Yoda" or the “Ancient Master.” And you don’t mess with the master.” He always brings with him his “bag of tricks" along with his faithful Blaster and Titan Pro.

Mark lives in Seattle, WA and Surprise, AZ but travels to many tournaments around the country. Mark is also the previous owner of ProLite Sports. The company is in great hands with his son, Neil at the helm. Mark’s daughter, Julie also has a hand in ProLite, heading up the Art and Graphics Department.
